Why you specifically
Cấu trúc there is / there are dùng để nói rằng có một sự vật, người, hoặc vấn đề nào đó ở một nơi. Trong tiếng Anh, động từ phải đổi theo danh từ đứng sau nó, không đổi theo từ there. Dùng there is với danh từ số ít và với danh từ không đếm được. Dùng there are với danh từ số nhiều. Ví dụ: There is a book on the table. = Có một quyển sách trên bàn. The rule
There is and there are are used to say that something exists or is present. The form depends on the noun that comes after it: use there is with a singular noun or with an uncountable noun, and use there are with plural nouns. In English, the verb agrees with the noun after it, not with there. Examples: There is a book on the table. There are two books on the table. There is some water in the glass. There are many people in the room. In negatives and questions, the same rule still applies: There isn't a problem. Are there any chairs?
