Why you specifically
Trong tiếng Anh, các giới từ chỉ chuyển động diễn tả hướng đi của hành động, không chỉ vị trí. Dùng to khi đi về phía một nơi hoặc một người; dùng into khi đi từ bên ngoài vào bên trong; dùng onto khi di chuyển lên trên một bề mặt hoặc lên phương tiện; dùng through khi đi xuyên qua một nơi, thường là từ đầu này sang đầu kia; và dùng across khi đi từ bên này sang bên kia của một khu vực, mặt phẳng, con đường hoặc cây cầu. Người học tiếng Việt hay nhầm vì trong tiếng Việt thường chỉ dùng các từ như “đến”, “vào”, “lên”, “qua”, nên cần chú ý rằng trong tiếng Anh phải chọn đúng giới từ theo kiểu chuyển động. Ví dụ: walk to the park, run into the house, jump onto the bed, drive through the tunnel, swim across the river.
The rule
Prepositions of movement show direction, not just location. Use to for movement toward a place or person, into for movement from outside to inside, onto for movement to a surface or vehicle, through for movement from one side of something to the other, and across for movement from one side to the other side of an area or surface. The verb usually changes with the sentence: go, walk, run, drive, jump, fly, and so on.
The trap

Use into for movement from outside to inside a place. 'In' describes location, not movement.
He jumped on the bus.
He jumped onto the bus.
Use onto for movement to a surface or vehicle. 'On' alone usually describes position, not the action of moving there.
They ran in the tunnel.
They ran through the tunnel.
Use through for movement from one side or end of something to the other, often inside it or within it.
We cycled over the bridge.
We cycled across the bridge.
Use across for movement from one side to the other side of a flat area, road, river, or bridge.
