Why every verb after a preposition takes -ing.
Why you specifically

Trong tiếng Anh, khi động từ đứng sau một giới từ thì động từ đó thường phải đổi sang dạng V-ing. Giới từ có thể là một từ như in, at, of, for, about, without, before, after, by, on, hoặc là cả cụm cố định như be used to, be interested in, be afraid of, look forward to. Điểm quan trọng là sau giới từ, ta không dùng động từ nguyên mẫu và cũng không dùng “to + V”. Người Việt rất dễ sai ở chỗ này vì trong tiếng Việt, sau các từ tương đương với giới từ, động từ thường không đổi hình thức. Vì vậy người học hay nói kiểu 'interested in learn', 'good at speak', 'without say', hoặc 'talk about go'. Trong tiếng Anh, các câu đó sai; phải dùng V-ing: 'interested in learning', 'good at speaking', 'without saying', 'talking about going'. Có một số cụm cố định cần nhớ vì chúng rất hay gặp trong IELTS: be used to + V-ing, be afraid of + V-ing, be interested in + V-ing, be good at + V-ing, succeed in + V-ing, spend time on + V-ing.
The rule
When a verb comes after a preposition, English normally uses the gerund form (-ing). The preposition can be one word, like in, at, of, for, about, without, before, after, by, or a two-word pattern such as be used to, be interested in, be afraid of, and look forward to. In these structures, the word after the preposition is not an infinitive and is not the base verb. This is a common problem for Vietnamese learners because Vietnamese often does not change the verb form after a linking word in the same way English does. So a learner may say 'interested in learn' or 'good at speak'. In English, that is wrong: after a preposition, the verb must usually become -ing. Some expressions are fixed and must be memorized, especially be used to, be interested in, be afraid of, succeed in, and spend time on.
The trap

I’m interested in learn English.
I’m interested in learning English.
After a preposition, the verb must be in the -ing form. 'In learn' is not grammatical here.
She left without say goodbye.
She left without saying goodbye.
After the preposition 'without', English uses a gerund, not the base verb.
He apologized for be late.
He apologized for being late.
After 'for', the verb should take -ing when it follows a preposition.
They discussed about move to a new office.
They discussed moving to a new office.
After 'about', 'discuss' does not take an infinitive; the following verb needs -ing after the preposition.
