To have done, for an action before the main verb.
Why you specifically

Thể perfect infinitive là to have + past participle, ví dụ to have done, to have finished, to have been. Tương tự, He was happy to have finished the report early nghĩa là “anh ấy vui vì đã hoàn thành báo cáo sớm”, tức là hành động hoàn thành xảy ra trước cảm xúc vui đó.
The rule
The perfect infinitive is to have + past participle, for example to have done, to have finished, to have been. It is used when the action happened before the time of the main verb: before a feeling, judgment, report, deduction, or another past event. In IELTS writing and speaking, this form helps you show clear time relationships and sound more precise. Use it after verbs and adjectives such as seem, appear, be said, be believed, be sorry, be happy, and be pleased when the earlier action matters. Compare She seems to be tired now with She seems to have been tired all day. The first talks about now; the second shows an earlier state before now. Also note that must have + past participle is often used for a logical guess about the past, for example They must have left already. Do not use the simple infinitive if the earlier time is important. I am sorry to keep you waiting suggests a present or ongoing action, but I am sorry to have kept you waiting shows the waiting happened first and the apology comes after it.
The trap

She seems to forget her keys.
She seems to have forgotten her keys.
Use the perfect infinitive to show that forgetting happened before the present judgment or appearance.
He was happy to finish the report early.
He was happy to have finished the report early.
The perfect infinitive shows the finishing happened before the feeling of happiness.
They must leave already.
They must have left already.
Must have + past participle is used to make a logical deduction about a past event.
I am sorry to keep you waiting.
I am sorry to have kept you waiting.
The perfect infinitive is needed because the waiting happened before the apology now being made.
