Why you specifically
The rule
No is a determiner, and it comes directly before a noun: no time, no money, no tickets. None is a pronoun, so it stands alone or appears in phrases like none of them. In negative meaning, English usually uses no + noun or none, not not + noun.

Use no before a noun to mean zero quantity. Do not use not with a noun here.
There are not tickets left.
There are no tickets left.
No comes before the plural noun tickets to show that there are zero tickets.
