The rule
Future perfect continuous describes an activity that will be in progress up to a specific future time. The usual pattern is will have been + verb-ing, often with expressions like by next year, by the time, or this time tomorrow. It focuses on duration rather than completion.
The trap
By next June, she will be working here for ten years.
By next June, she will have been working here for ten years.
Future perfect continuous shows an action that starts before a future point and continues up to that point.
At 8 p.m. tomorrow, we will have fly for six hours.
At 8 p.m. tomorrow, we will have been flying for six hours.
The form needs will have been + verb-ing to show duration before a future time.
By the end of the month, they will have live in Hanoi for two years.
By the end of the month, they will have been living in Hanoi for two years.
Use been + -ing after will have to express the length of the activity.
This time next week, I will have study for my IELTS exam for three months.
This time next week, I will have been studying for my IELTS exam for three months.
The sentence needs the continuous form because the focus is on duration, not completion alone.
