The rule
The future perfect is formed with will have + past participle. It is used when one future action will already be completed before another future time or event.
The trap
By 6 p.m., she will finish her homework.
By 6 p.m., she will have finished her homework.
The future perfect is used for an action completed before a specific future time.
They will leave before the meeting starts.
They will have left before the meeting starts.
Use will have + past participle to show that the leaving is completed before another future event.
By next year, I work here for ten years.
By next year, I will have worked here for ten years.
The future perfect can describe something that will be true by a future time because the action or state will already be completed or reached that point.
By the time you arrive, we eat dinner.
