The rule
The future continuous is used for an action that will be in progress at a specific time in the future. The form is will be + verb-ing: I will be working, she will be studying, they will be living. It often appears with time expressions such as at 8 p.m. tonight, this time tomorrow, when you arrive, or next week at this time.
The trap
This time tomorrow, I will fly to London.
This time tomorrow, I will be flying to London.
Future continuous uses will be + verb-ing to show an action in progress at a specific future time. The form will fly does not show the action as ongoing.
At 8 p.m. tonight, we will have dinner.
At 8 p.m. tonight, we will be having dinner.
Use the continuous form for an activity in progress at a future time. The simple future can suggest a decision or event, not the ongoing action.
When you arrive, she will work.
When you arrive, she will be working.
Future continuous often describes an action already in progress at the moment another future event happens. Will work is not the right form for that meaning.
They will living in Hanoi next year.
They will be living in Hanoi next year.
Will be living shows an ongoing situation during a future period. Will live can be correct in some contexts, but it does not always emphasize the action in progress.
