Why you specifically
Trong tiếng Anh, một số danh từ là không đếm được. Với các danh từ này, ta không dùng a/an, không thêm -s để tạo số nhiều, và cũng không nói an advice, an information, a furniture. Thay vào đó, ta thường dùng some, much, a lot of, hoặc a piece of để nói về một lượng hoặc một đơn vị của thứ đó. Advice, information, và furniture là ba ví dụ rất phổ biến. Người học tiếng Việt hay bị ảnh hưởng bởi cách nghĩ rằng danh từ nào cũng có thể đi với mạo từ hoặc số nhiều, nhưng tiếng Anh không như vậy. Ta nói some advice, some information, some furniture, hoặc a piece of advice / a piece of information khi muốn nói một lời khuyên hay một mẩu thông tin.
The rule
In English, some nouns are uncountable. We cannot say a/an advice, an information, or a furniture, because these nouns are usually not counted as separate items. Instead, we use no article, some, much, a lot of, or a piece of when we want to count one unit of the thing. Advice, information, and furniture are common examples. In Vietnamese, learners often try to put a number or an article before these nouns, but English treats them differently. Say some advice, some information, some furniture, or a piece of advice / a piece of information when you need one item of meaning or information.
